To empower the students of Computer Science & Engineering to be technologically adept, research oriented, responsive to industry needs and also contribute to social activities.

Mission of the Department

M1: To create dynamic learning environment where students adopt advanced technological skills, engage in cutting-edge technologies, and respond proactively to the industry demands

M2: To inspire and support students in enhancing their expertise by providing exposure to contemporary trends and facilitating opportunities for research and development to inculcate the research culture among the students.

M3: To nurture a commitment to social responsibility, enabling students to contribute effectively for the society.

Program Educational Objectives (PEO’S)

Graduates will be able to :

  1. PEO 1: To prepare competent graduates having strong mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals, domain knowledge, updated with modern technologies to provide the effective solutions for complex engineering problems.
  2. PEO 2: To prepare the graduates to work as a committed professional with strong professional ethics and values, sense of responsibilities, understanding of legal, safety, health, societal, cultural and environmental issues.
  3. PEO 3: To prepare committed and motivated graduates equipped with leadership and entrepreneurial responsibilities, research attitude, lifelong learning, investigative approach and multidisciplinary thinking.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSO’s)

Graduates will be able to :

  1. PSO 1: Professional Skills- The capacity to understand, analyze, and develop computer applications in the areas of web design, operating systems, system software, algorithms, networking and big data analytics for the effective design of different computer-based systems.
  2. PSO 2: Problem-Solving Skills- The capacity to use flexible programming environments and standard processes in software project development to analyze real life problems and provide innovative solutions.
  3. PSO 3: Successful Career and Entrepreneurship- The graduate must be able to use modern technologies to create innovative career paths in entrepreneurship, higher education, and professional engagement.

About Department

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering was established in the year 2013. Department offers Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech) in Computer Science & Engineering and Master’s degree (M.Tech) in Computer Science & Engineering.

Department of Computer Science & Engineering is ready to meet the challenges and opportunities in the field of Information Technology. Department is working for imparting the education necessary to meet the requirements of 21st Century. We provides opportunities in the field of educational and research in Computer Engineering and its application era. The students becomes well mature and responsible citizens equipped with all the technologies of core domain of Computer Science and Engineering. Our students have mind-set of lifelong learning and leadership in this era. Department is regularly involved in organising placement opportunities to the students well known IT industries.

To improve teaching learning process various teaching learning resources are used such as NPTEL lectures, spoken tutorials, case studies, assignments, Quiz/Test, industrial live projects etc. Facilities of well ventilated and spacious class rooms. Organizing suitable guest lectures and industrial visits to improve subject knowledge, practical view while implementing the curriculum.

Welcome to the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at CSMSS Chh. Shahu college of Engineering, Chh. Sambhajinagar, since our inception in the academic year 2013-2014, we have been committed to delivering high-quality education and shaping future professionals. Our journey began with a modest intake of 60 students in the first year, and I am proud to share that, starting from Academic Year 2024-2025, we have expanded our undergraduate intake to 180 students.

In addition to our undergraduate programs, we are also offering Postgraduate programs with an intake of 12 students, allowing us to cater to a wider range of academic pursuits and advanced learning opportunities.

At CSMSS Chh. Shahu college of Engineering, Chh. Sambhajinagar, we are dedicated to providing a vibrant academic environment, where innovation, creativity, and practical knowledge go hand in hand. Our curriculum, supported by highly experienced faculty and state-of-the-art facilities, ensures that you are well-prepared to meet the challenges of your chosen field.
