About Library

CSMSS Chh. Shahu College of Engineering is having total 921.91 sqm specious area for central Library. In the central library we have different sections like; book stacking, periodicals, reference, digital library with 07 nodes & well ventilated reading hall with capacity of 250+ students. All the books have been classified as per Dewey decimal classification system. Transaction of books has been done by computerized barcode system through E-Granthalaya software. OPAC Search facility available in Library Premises. Library timing is 9.00 am to 5.30 pm & reading hall timing will be adjusted to cater the needs of all the students.

We have large collection of around 16600+ books, 60 National Journals 8 International Journals. Library provided NPTEL facility & following E-Journals Resources to all the Staff & Student in CSMSS Chh. Shahu College of Engineering, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) Campus.

We have an official Membership of Delnet Database, ProQuest Engg/Tech. Collection & K-Hub Engineering e-Library E-Journals Resources for the year 2020. In this database we are having 8500+ International & National E-Journals and 15000+ e-Books for free access & download from our CSMSS Chh. Shahu College of Engineering Campus. These E-Resources are possible to access & download from anywhere on CSMSS Chh. Shahu College of Engineering, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) campus through internet.

In this facility we provide huge collection of Audio-Video Lectures & the notes of all IIT’s (Madras, Bombay, Kharagpur, Guwahati, Bangalore, Delhi, Kanpur & Roorkee). Library Computerization

---

The Library uses Smart Campus software package which is an integrated multi-user library management system that supports all in-house operations of the Library. The Smart Campus consists of modules on acquisition, cataloguing, circulation, serials, article indexing and OPAC. Retrospective conversion of bibliographic records has been completed and more than 3031 bibliographic records of books available in the Library, can now be accessed through the Smart Campus OPAC. The database of books available in the Library is being updated on day to day basis with details of recently acquired books. The editing and updating activities are in progress. The Idenizen Smart Campus package has been successfully implemented.

LIBRARY Rules and Regulations

---

1. Students should produce their Identity cards at the entrance of the Library.
2. Library membership cards are non­transferable.
3. Use of Mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the library premises. Silence is to be maintained in the Library.
4. Readers are not allowed to bring belongings like bags, umbrellas, etc. inside the library. Such material should be kept in the Bag Racks at their own risk. Students’ are advised not to leave their precious and valuable items like money, passport, credit card etc. in library.
5. Only two books for 07days will be issued to the student.
6. Students should regularly return / renew their books after every 07 days otherwise a fine of Rs.2 per day per book will be charged.
7. Students must satisfy themselves with the physical condition of books before borrowing it. Any kind of remarks, underlining or any sort of disfigurement in the books is not allowed. Any kind of damage to the library book will be a chargeable offence.
8. Reference books and Magazines will not be issued out of the library.
9. Library can recall any issued book even before the due date.
10. Reservation of seats in the Reading Room is not permitted. Books and other articles left for any length of time on chairs and tables may be removed by the library staff.
11. Do not tear any part of News Paper or its Supplement.
12. It students are found violating Library rules, disciplinary action shall be taken by authorities.

CYBER Rules

---

1. Cyber Library is to be used for academic purposes only.
2. Online Chatting in the Cyber Library is not allowed.
3. Browsing of dating, social networking sites is strictly prohibited. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against the defaulters.
4. Members must carry their Library ID card while using the Cyber Library. They must show their ID card on demand.
5. Members are not to share their net access ID and Password with other students.
6. Changing the settings and display of the Computers kept in the Cyber Library/Reading Hall is not permitted.
7. Playing games on computers is strictly prohibited in the entire Library premises.
8. Members must take care of their Pen drives, CD/DVD ROMs, Cell Phones, and Wallets etc.
